Mosaic Sculptures
Basically mosaic balls to add a little something different to the community Garden! Balls are hollow polystrene and then mosaiced over both halves before being filled with cement, filled in with the rest of the tiles and grouted in cement. The designs are fairly simple, the larger of the two is one continuos spiral running along the sphere, intersected with more spirals. These are representive of the River Bann which flows not very far from the garden. The River bann is known for it's whirlpools. The second ball is more sedate, and a representive of the rowan trees in the garden; unlike the trees the berries on the mosaic are red.
